Cenote Healing
What if you could descend into the womb of earth-itself and emerge having left behind the heavy burdens you carry?

Cenotes are cave-like azure sink holes deep beneath the surface of the earth. On this retreat we will visit several of them and conduct some of our inner-work at the cenote Balam-Ha contained where we will be staying. Cenote Balam'Ha is a private village of dwellings within the jungle that surround its own private cenote which is just next to a temezcal dwelling. The waters are cool, refreshing and just the right medicine, whether in the morning, afternoon or evening. Cenote Balam'Ha is our village and home base for the duration of this program. There is something incredibly welcoming about this space. One feels at ease as she strolls through the paths that traverse our little village and the jungle ambience is experienced viscerally; a sweet, gentle and yet vibrant environment for deep personal and interpersonal exploration.
Temazcal Ceremonies
Participants are offered the opportunity to participate in Temazcal healing ceremonies led by a local shaman who guides and supports the participants as they release the emotional toxins from their systems within this womblike structure. There is a fire in the center of the Temazcal ceremony and water and refreshing herbs are added to the fire creating a hot steamy fragrant bath. Participants are provided water to drink during this ceremony. At any point in the ceremony, participants can leave the dwelling and dunk into the cenote which is just outside to refresh their bodies. All participants in this retreat are offered this experience, while none are expected to do so.
Lodging: Cenote Balam'Ha
Cenote Balam Ha is an eco-lodge with it's own restorative waters as well as a private Temezcal Hut. The lodge is nestled in the beautiful tropical jungle that is also home to tropical birds, spider monkeys, butterflies and other wildlife of the region. The rooms are comfortable clean and decorated in the classic Yucatan rustic style that is part of the charm of the region.

Our group and private sessions will be held at the beautiful Palapa house where we can hear the sounds of the monkeys and tropical birds and feel the soft breezes. It that has two floors so that our different sessions and healings can flow easily.
Yucatán Cuisine
One of the many joys of the Yucatán region of Mexico is the delicious and unique cuisine.
During our time in Balam Ha we will have our own chef who prepares authentic Yucateca style cuisine. The Yucatán is famous for healthy well rounded meals with local ingredients. We are able accommodate most dietary needs and are careful to communicate these with our chef.
